Beauty

We all know the saying, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Why does that beholder have to have such a large marketing department, a famous name and a team of makeup artists, hairdressers and dietitians at their disposal?  It’s tough trying to keep up with all that and run our lives, earn a living and look after a family. This reminds me of a quote I heard from the actress Sarah Michelle Gellar.

How can women be as thin as we are? We have personal trainers to work us out.
We have specially prepared meals.

It’s refreshing to have some truth about the glamorous appearance of TV and movie stars. I don’t recall many famous people acknowledging the hard work and number of people that it takes to make the look so good.
Now to me, I certainly don’t have a horde of people helping me look good. I don’t have a private chef or trainer coming to my home. In the morning it’s me the shower and a hairdryer if I’m lucky and have time. That is not to say that I don’t try and look my best. I do. When I am at work, I dress accordingly and when I go out. Furthermore, on a Saturday or a Sunday, I will be in a track suit, some old clothes and wouldn’t dream of opening the door to anyone. However, that’s life. Life is about being dressed, made up and looking appropriate.  At different times of the day, your look will be different depending on the events during the day.

Beauty is Skin Deep

Beauty is certainly skin deep; it’s also what you put in your body, what you take out and your environment.  Keeping yourself hydrated and everything else. I will be discussing all of these activities on this site and hope that you enjoy reading about them as much as I do.
